I made a survey on the impact of advertising in order to know what people think about advertises they see every day, every where.
On the first question,” without reflecting, quote me an advertise which is shown at the moment”, 50% of the 20 people who answered, said the advertising of “118218”.
Regarding to the details of the answers, it’s because of the funny character of the advertising. that they remember this one. The other ingredients that people find necessary is the fact that the commercials have to be original with a memorable song.
Almost every people who answered the third question said that they sometime remember an advertising but not the that it promotes. That’s why an advertising has to be different from the others by being funny and original.
Most people answered that they sometimes consider buying a product immediately after they have seen it on television. That means that the advertising has a big impact on the consumers, they don’t only take into account their needs but are also influenced by the advertising.
For the fifth question, “What does advertising inform you about?”, the most quoted responses are
“the quality of the product” and “the image”. So the brand image of a product is mainly made by the advertising. That’s because a company which has a big enough budget to advertise and is already successful and in order to sell a lot of products, it must have already convinced a large part of the public. So people are reassured by the product.
Concerning to the next question, the half people said that it amuses them to see advertising on TV. But the other half said that they change the channel when it’s break time. So we can say that the advertising on TV has no impact on a large part of the consumers. So companies have to find a balance for their budget in order to have a good brand image and in the same time to not spend too much money because more than the quarter of the viewers will not be impacted by the advertising.TV is the media which has the biggest impact on consumers. It has a big impact on 15% of people who responded. Press is also a good media for companies in order to impact the greatest number of consumers. On the other hand, radio, cinema and internet are the weakest media to advertise, overall radio which has really no impact on 50% of people. Press and posters in the street are surely the best media for companies because there are average costs and it has impact on a lot of people at the same time.People who responded to my survey are 50% women and 50% men. They are between 20 and 23 years old.
